Overview

The Salnés Valley is where most of the Albariño cellars under the appellation of origin Rías Baixas are located and the wines here have very distinctive characteristics due to the influence of the Atlantic and their unique canopy growing system of setting the vines, known as "parras".
Juanjo leads this tour and can be adapted to your specific needs.
The Albarino Wine Tour includes a visit to several wineries of all sizes from the largest cellars to the smaller but not the least important ones, all of them belonging to the denomination of origin Rías Baixas.
So you will be able to not only see their facilities but also to talk to the winemakers directly, taste their wines, listen to their opinions and hear about their winemaking techniques that make their wines so different. Come and let us show you the Albariño of the Rías Baixas!
You will also be able to enjoy a typical lunch at a "furancho" (an at one time clandestine wine producers) with homemade wine and local served dishes

Great Itinerary, private and personal tour of Galicia. More than just wine.

Galicia is still not a very accessible place to visit when you are a non-Spanish speaking foreigner but Juan Jose made our day very special and the full day tour itinerary was so well crafted that never did we ever once felt we were rushed or out of time. We managed to fit in 4 wineries, and tasted some fantastic wines and toured their wineries with plenty of time. He crafted the tour so that we visited a SME winery, a large winery, a historically important one then a very boutique small winery. And during the siesta times, we visited the Island of Arousa, visited a local Furancho, like a family-fun small garage bar where you get served very local food and drink wine the way the locals do it. Then to finish off he takes you to take in the sights of a famous fishing village and the world's largest Oreo, where the locals dried grains. Was a super day. Just sit back and relax and let him take you on a fantastic excursion out.
Amazing wine tour of the Albariño region

Juanjo took us on an amazing tour of the Albariño wine region. He took us to four vineyards that were unique and each made Albariño in a slightly different way. They were not commercial wineries and each one had an owner/winemaker whose passion for making Albariño shown through in their product.

Juanjo took care and effort in selecting these places and really made the tour special. He has extensive knowledge of the region and was an excellent guide.

For lunch, he offered us several options and we went with a local restaurant in a seaside town that had excellent seafood and was a good break in between wine tastings. The Pulpa a feira was delicious.

I highly recommend Juanjo for a fantastic experience in Albariño wine country
Special wines and so much more!

We did a full-day wine tour (in excellent English, which saved us from my terrible Spanish!) with Juanjo. First, the guy is a real pro - he's not just a driver like you might get on some other bigger-group tours, he's a true local who takes pride in giving his clients the best experience possible! He knows the whole area from top to bottom, and he evolved the tour throughout the day based on our conversations and interests. Of course we had some amazing wines in beautiful settings in a variety of different wineries (including access to people and places that we never could have gotten on our own), but the local knowledge, access to off-the-beaten-path sites, and of course the excellent lunch (along with tips on how it's prepared) were all special touches that made this a truly memorable experience. We look forward to getting back to the area again to book another trip!
Absolutely Lovely

Juanjo is an joy to work with, he took us to three wineres and a lovely lunch under the vines. He is thoughtful and made a great itinerary for my partner and I. He helped me along with my mediocre Spanish and made the tour a highlight of our trip. I recommend him to anyone who wants to experience Albarino this way.

Juan Jose was a great tour guide. We went to three very different wineries. He answered all our questions about the area and it's history. It was an all day tour and we learned so much not only about wine but the whole area in general. Highly recommend this tour
