A glimpse into one of history’s greatest moments
Cindy_F, 29-09-2022
The Segovia castle looks like it was straight out of a fairytale. Also learning about queen Isabella and king Ferdinand there was interesting. To be able to stand where Christopher Columbus asked the king and queen permission to go find his supposed new route to India gives you a sense of the monumental moments in history. Avila was a beautiful example of a walled city. We didn’t know about st Teresa and that was so enlightening..

Long day but you definitely get to see and experience both cities. Rafa was a wonderful guide and was very knowledgeable. Recommend this tour. The starting point isn’t very easy to find right off, but just look for all the people waiting around. Really enjoyed this tour.

What a great tour and very information. Our tour guide was the best and seeing the aqueduct was the highlight of the tour. If you want history this is the tour. A must see when in Madrid.
Good Tour but Need a Better Option than the Earbuds

We were able to see quite a few landmarks during this tour and Rafael was an excellent guide. On the bus ride we had both English and Spanish speakers so information along the way was given both in English and Spanish. When we stopped in Avila, we were divided into two groups, one for English speakers led by Rafael and one for Spanish speakers led by another guide. Rafael spoke English quite well so I feel like I was able to learn a lot on the tour.

This was our first of three tours with Fun and Tickets and definitely the best of the three. With all three tours we had radios with earbuds to listen to the guides along the tour. The earbuds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable and was one of two negatives for this tour. The earbuds are not returnable, I'm sure due to sanitary reasons, but I still find this very wasteful. Due to the fact they are so uncomfortable, I recommend you take your own headphones or earbuds (with a plug, not bluetooth). The second main problem with this tour is that air conditioner did not work very well on the bus, so our return trip was extremely uncomfortable due to the heat.

This option came with lunch, which was really too much food for a hot day. You could buy tapas if you had not chosen the lunch option and would have been a better option.
