Great for first day in Barcelona

Our tour guide, Laura, was very knowledgeable and fun. It was a great into to the Gothic area and Las Ramblas.
Excellent walk and intro to the city’s origins

I stayed in the edgy El Born neighborhood and wanted a tour of the Barri Gotic area. It was a great introduction to navigating this part of the city with its narrow winding lanes and learning more about Roman Barcelona and its moxie always walls. My guide Ferran provided a knowledgeable tour during the walk. We also had time to take photos during the jaunt and take a restroom break at a cafe. Some photos I took are from Placa del Rei (where King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel welcomed back Columbus in 1493), the Church of Sant Felip Neri (still showing shrapnel damage on its wall from the Civil War of the 1930s), la Boqueria Market on the Ramblas (try the Iberico Ham with Manchego Cheese), and the Monument to the Martyrs of Independence. Many thanks again for the tour! Visited on August 27. I didn’t get to go inside the Barcelona Cathedral because of the long queue but I returned later during my trip in the morning when it was not too crowded.

This walking tour took us through the gothic district of Barcelona. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information. Unfortunately your did not include Sagrada Familia and end point was almost 30 minutes walk from starting point. But all in all an enjoyable couple hours.
