What To Expect

Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia
Explore the Museo Reina Sofía collection, comprising more than 21,000 works. The Reina Sofía National Art Centre opened its doors to the public in 1990 with a major collection of Spanish and international art covering the period between the late 19th century to the present day.

The Reina Sofía houses paintings by Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Juan Gris as well as one of Spain’s most famous artworks, Picasso’s Guernica.

The building where the museum is currently housed was previously used as a hospital, Hospital de San Carlos, constructed at the end of the eighteenth century.

The art fans will need several hours to explore the Reina Sofía, due to its sheer size. If you are less enthusiastic about art, it will take you approximately between one and two hours to see the most renowned paintings and sculptures.

You are entitled to free access, if you are:
Under 18 years old, Over 65 years old

Not much to say- this was just a ticket purchase for slip the line entry- it did include a self- tour audio which we did not use. We had no line to enter

El museo es absolutamente fantástico. Creo que me gustó más que Prado. Y ver el Guernica “en vivo” es impresionante. Recibimos las entradas a nuestro correo electrónico y usamos el enlace para los recorridos. Todo fácil y fluido
