Join one of our Madrid hosts for a taste of that energy in a personalized experience that centers around you and your interests. You may see yourself sipping vermut on a terrace or exploring grand sights like the Royal Palace and Museo Nacional del Prado. Or perhaps you want to see the more obscure destinations instead? This day is about you. Whether you have just two hours or a full day, just let us know your pace and we’ll do the rest!

Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Extraordinary Day in Madrid with Silvia!

Wondering typical neighborhoods, sipping coffee in a local shop, discussing the joys and challenges of today's Spain, sharing life experiences over delicious food in an authentic Spanish restaurant - these were all part of our amazing day with Silvia. Through Silvia we learned so much about life in Spain and its people, one of our primary motivations for travel. This was our first experience with CityUnscripted and it was much more like meeting up with a friend of a friend instead of a tour guide. We signed up for an 8-hour day which I thought may be too long. But the day flew by as we wandered, ducked into neighborhood stores and churches, watched children running through parks, and got to know Silvia, an innovative entrepreneur and journalist with a insatiable curiosity about everything around her and a perpetual twinkle in her eye, and her life. We also did some touristy things but saw them through the eyes of a local. Now back home, when we think of Madrid we do think of the Prado and the Palace and the churros. But we especially think of Silvia and how she lovingly shared with us the city she knows and loves. When we said goodbye, we told her that we hoped that one day we will have the opportunity to show her our city and welcome her into our lives in the U.S. I hope she took our invitation seriously, because we meant it. We will definitely seek out other experiences with CityUnscripted in our future travels. Highly recommended!

We cannot recommend this experience highly enough! Joanna knows everything about the history, art and architecture in Madrid -- we had an unforgettable day walking the streets of Madrid with her. We got so much more out of our day in Madrid with her sharing her knowledge with us than we ever could have with just a book or an audio tour. She was gracious and kind and has a higher degree in art history -- and we feel like we've made a new friend. We highly re commend this tour company and Joanna in particular.
