Muralla de Toledo

Toledo has had a wall from the Romans, which had to be rebuilt by the Visigoth King Wamba in 674. The current wall is of Arab origin where we can find some Roman remains.

King Alfonso VI, is granted the completion of the works of the wall in 1085, after reconquering the city.

Toledo has always had a great wall, well known throughout its history, taking center stage its entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta de Bisagra, the Puerta de Alfonso VI or the Puerta del Cambrón.

I read many reviews for tours to Toledo and picked this one based on the reviews. I am glad I chose this one. Toledo is a beautiful and you definitely need at lease one full day to explore it. Our tour guide, Rafael, was great. He spoke Spanish and English and was a very pleasant perso . He did a great job with managing the crowd. Our transportation from Madrid to Toledo was with a very comfortable bus with AC with comfortable seats. The tour time and break time to eat and shop were balanced and worked out great for us. I recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour

Our tour guide Rafael did an excellent job explaining things both in Spanish and very clear English.
His commentary was very interesting sprinkled with a bit of humor here and there.
We were given enough time to grab a bite to eat or use the facilities as well as do a bit of shopping. I would highly recommend this tour but if you like to go at your own pace and have more time to explore Talodo self guided version would be a good alternative.

I booked this with trip advisor, but the local company is called Fun & Tickets, they were very responsible and professional.

I booked two different tours with them and they were all excellent, our tour guide Rafa was very knowledgeable, and made the tour entertaining. My wife and I had an amazing time during these tours, we’ll definitely recommend them, it’s worth it, they educate you about the history of the towns, thanks!!!

Rafa was a great tour guide, alternating between English and Spanish all day. I felt like I learned something about Spanish history and about all of the beautiful sights in and around Toledo.
