Lovely wine and friendly staff

I visited la casa nova in January with my partner. We each received 3 glasses of wine (which we loved) and we shared a cheese board (which was okay but we preferred the breads with it). After the tasting, we were given the remainder of our favourite wine (we loved the Moon Blanco!!).
The setting was gorgeous and it was a special night for us because we got engaged. I would note that the front of the restaurant (beyond the patio/pool) is very run down, but it didnt bother us up above. Our host was lovely, but due to our language barriers, the tasting was not very informative. It seemed like they forgot we had booked the tasting which was therefore a bit disorganised.
We stayed for dinner in Steak 21 (the food was great - we both got fillet steaks). Again, the staff were lovely. Considering we got engaged and had spent a lot of money on the tasting / dinner / drinks, we felt it would have been a kind gesture for the staff to offer us a drink on the house or something else to mark the occasion - this wasn’t the case. This kind of detracted from the experience at la casa nova.
